This Sunday at SDFC
This Sunday, we will gather for our worship service in Brown Chapel at 10:30am. We are also happy to announce that as of this Sunday, all of our Adult Sunday Schools will resume meeting in-person during the 9am hour.

In addition, our Kid's Sunday School and Nursery will also resume programming, and our brand new Sunday School for teens (6th-12th grade) will begin meeting this Sunday at 9am as well!

Here's an overview of the schedule:
  • 9:00AM: Adult, Kid's, & Teen Sunday Schools
    • Sojourner's (Ellipse Chapel)
    • Open Door (Family Life Center)
    • Come & Go (Church Office)
    • Kid's Sunday School (Children's Building)
    • Teen Sunday School (Youth Room)
    • Nursery Open (for ages 0-3)
  • 10:30AM: Worship Service & Children's Church:
    • Worship Service (Brown Chapel)
    • Children's Church (Children's Building)
    • Nursery Open (for ages 0-3)

Please Note: We expect the wearing of face masks over mouth and nose at all times while indoors, regardless of vaccination, to limit the potential spread of COVID-19 and its variants. In light of the ongoing rise in cases locally, we also encourage social distancing indoors, and ask that you stay home if you are feeling unwell. Thank you for helping us keep our community safe.

Women's Ministry Wardrobe Swap Event!
NEW DATE: Saturday, March 12
10am-12pm in the Friendship Plaza

Bring your unwanted/unused clothing & homewares, and leave with something new! Shop others’ items, take what you want, and everything left behind will be donated. Drop-off items at the church office beginning March 14, or just bring them with you the day of!

$5 suggested donation; proceeds to Generate Hope.

2022 SoCal District Women's Conference
Friday, March 18th – Sunday, March 20th
Mission Church of the Nazarene

Get ready for the ultimate girls weekend! This years District Women's Conference is going to be full of fun, food and friends. Attendees will hear from the amazing speaker and General Superintendent, Carla Sunberg, as she talks about the Journey of Grace. You'll also be able to join some of the many workshops being offered, or just take the time to rest and recharge.

The conference is being held right here in San Diego, in our own backyard at Mission Church of the Nazarene! For more information, or to register, online, visit the District Women's Ministry webpage! 

Ladies who registered to attend the 2020 District Women's Conference, which was cancelled due to COVID-19, are eligible to receive a discount code that covers the full cost of this year's conference.

A Celebration of Life for
Dr. Carroll Land
Please join us this Saturday, January 29 at 1pm for a Celebration of Life for Dr. Carroll Land. The service will be held in Brown Chapel, and we encourage the wearing of masks and social distancing as a precaution against the spread COVID-19.

For those unable to attend in-person, a live stream of the event will be broadcast online at

In Our Prayers...
  • Victor & Judi Labenske: Victor & Judi ask that you join them in praying for unity in our church, and love and concern for one another.
  • The Rumsey Family: Carolyn & Mike Rumsey have asked us to continue joining them in prayer for their great-grandchildren, who are as yet unenrolled in virtual or in-person school.
  • The Land/Adey Family: Please remember the family of Carroll Land in your prayers as they prepare for a celebration of his life this weekend.
  • The Lopez Family: Please continue to join us in prayer for Lupe Lopez, our long-time facilities custodian, and her family as they continue to mourn the loss of her husband, Armando.
