Dr. Carroll B. Land,  born on Oct. 16, 1934,  passed peacefully at home with his family on December 27, 2021. 

Dr. Land was an integral part of Pasadena College/Point Loma Nazarene University for more than 60 years. Coach Land served as PLNU’s head Baseball Coach, Athletic Director, and then worked in University  Advancement. Coach Land was recognized nationally in the world of baseball and athletics and was often honored for his accomplishments, contributions, and his advocacy within sports.

Dr. Land was a dedicated member of San Diego First Church of the Nazarene. He was a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor, colleague, coach and friend. He is survived by his wife of 67 years -  Barbara Land, his son Brian Land, daughter Cheree (Land) Adey, son in law David Adey and grandkids Dorothy and Charlie Adey.


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the following:
* Carroll B. Land and Barbara Land Endowed Athletic Scholarship and/or
* Carroll B. Land Endowed Baseball Field Fund.
