This Sunday at SDFC
This Sunday, we will gather for our worship service in Brown Chapel at 10:30am. In addition, our Sunday Schools for adults, teens, and kids will gather at 9am.

Here's an overview of the schedule:

Please Note:  Due to a recent shift in local guidance, the wearing of masks/face coverings indoors is now optional. We ask for your support in continuing to remain respectful of others' health & safety decisions. Thank you for making SDFC a hospitable place for us to gather and worship.

Holy Week Events
Mark your calendars now to join us for our church events during Holy Week this year:
  • Good Friday Service: Our Tenebrae style service during which we tell the story of Jesus' death as the sanctuary gradually darkens.
    • April 15, 7pm in Brown Chapel
  • Easter Jam: A morning of fun family Easter activities, including our annual egg hunt!
    • April 16, 10:30am in Friendship Plaza
  • Easter Sunday: Join us for morning worship as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ!
    • April 17, 10:30am in Brown Chapel

Easter Choir 2022
Come sing and be a part of SDFC's choir throughout Holy Week! Rehearsals on Wednesdays, April 6 & 13 at 6:30pm in the Ellipse Chapel. For more info, please contact Austin Holmes or Victor Labenske.
Donate to SDFC Kid's Easter Jam!
Contribute to our Easter Jam by donating plastic eggs and/or individually wrapped candy to help make this Easter the sweetest yet! Donations accepted now thru April 10. Contact for more info!
Pickleball Night is Back!

Free play pickleball in the Family Life Center from 6-8:30pm every 2nd & 4th Thursday!

We had a great turnout at our first Pickleball Night gathering last week. We'll be back at it again this Thursday, March 24th!

If possible, please bring your own paddle — we have a limited number to share. All skill levels welcome!
SDFC Women's Spring Tea

Join SDFC Women's Ministry in the Ellipse Chapel for our Spring Tea!
Saturday, April 9th | 2-4PM

Come fellowship with us over tea and treats as we gather together to learn more about each other and ourselves. All ladies are welcome - invite and friend and we'll see you there!

Continues This Wednesday, March 23rd! 

Our annual Season of Prayer Adult U series is off to a great start! Join u from 6:30-8pm in Bowes Conference Room every Wednesday during Lent. Each session is led by a different member of the SDFC community! Here's the schedule of our remaining teachers and topics:
  • March 23: Praying With All Of Our Bible with Stephanie Matthews
  • March 30: Daily Examen Prayer with Mark Maddix
  • April 6: Intercessory Prayer with Jo Clemmons
  • April 13: The Lord's Prayer with Michael Lodahl
These gatherings are perfect for those interested in learning more about broadening their practice of prayer to come and participate. All are invited to jump in for any or all of our remaining sessions!
In Our Prayers...
  • Damian Hareb: Damian has asked that we share his request for prayers for clarity with the church body. 
  • Denny & Betty Klaseus: The Klaseus' have asked for prayer on behalf of all in the world during this time of so much unrest.
  • Larry Angione: Larry has asked for the congregation to continue joining him in prayer for the Ukrainian people.
The Nazarene church leadership in Ukraine is grateful for prayers from the global church. Resources for action in response to the ongoing unrest in the region are available below:
  • We take seriously Christ's call to be peacemakers in the world and encourage people to write to their elected officials to call for peace and the preservation of life.
  • You can also financially assist relief efforts by giving to the Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Eurasia North Field Crisis Fund by clicking here.
