This Sunday at SDFC
This Sunday, we will continue to gather in-person and indoors for a unified worship service in Brown Chapel at 10:30am. Our desire is to create a safe space for everyone, so please respect the health & safety practices of others as we emerge from this pandemic shut-down.

If gathering in-person isn't right for you at this time, we invite you to stay connected via our online options! Our online worship video will be published online at 9:00am. You can find the link to our online worship video in our Sunday morning email, or on the home page of our website:
Join us next Sunday, August 8th for the return of our annual Summer Celebration! We will gather at Crown Point at 10:30am for a short service that will feature reflections from all ages on some of our summer ministries and events.

Then afterwards, stick around to enjoy a free taco lunch prepared on-site, lawn games, and a time of fellowship to celebrate as summer events and ministries come to a close!

Shade canopies and some chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own umbrella, chair and/or picnic blanket as well. We hope to see you there!
We are looking for a few more volunteers to join our Sunday morning Greeting Team! Greeters arrive 30 minutes prior to service and assist in welcoming visitors, passing out bulletins, and distributing elements on Communion Sundays!
If you’re interested in being a Greeter for our 10:30am Unified Services throughout the summer, please contact for more info!
In Our Prayers...
  • Judi Labenske: Judi has asked that we join her in praying for healing for her niece, Rebecca.
  • Kay & Dee Kelley: Please be in prayer for Pastor Dee and his wife, Kay Kelley, as they continue to navigate medical challenges.
If you have a prayer request you would like to share, either privately with the church staff or with the SDFC community, please contact the church office at or (619) 849-3100.
If you would rather not receive these emails, simply reply
“Thanks, but no thanks” and they will stop coming your way.
