Message from Pastor M'Lynn
Hello Church Family!

I am so grateful for the sacred and safe space SDFC has been for me as I navigate adulthood away from my family. It has been such a deep joy to play a role in the spiritual lives of our 6th-12th graders for the last couple of years. I am awed by the ways this community — children, youth, and adults — continue to bring themselves to the feet of Jesus week after week in surrender and thanksgiving.

This will be my last week on staff at SDFC as I transition into my new role as a Mental Health Counselor for the Community Research Foundation here in San Diego. I am excited for what's to come in my life and in the life of our church from here on out! Thank you, every single one of you, for loving me and being so easy to love in return.

Love,
M'Lynn

M'Lynn's final night of youth group will be this Wednesday, April 13th. From 7:30-8:30pm that night, we will have a reception in the Youth Room, which will be the perfect opportunity for teens, their families, and the rest of the church body to stop by to express their gratitude and well wishes. Then, M'Lynn's final worship service as a member of our pastoral staff will be our Good Friday Service at 7pm on April 15th.
It's almost that time again! Our open-gym Pickleball Nights take place every 2nd & 4th Thursday, which means your next chance to join us for free-play pickleball in the Family Life Center is this Thursday, April 14th from 6-8:30pm!

If possible, please bring your own paddle — we have a limited number to share. All skill levels welcome!

Update in Support of Ukrainian Refugees

As we announced in service this last Sunday, we have the opportunity to participate in relief efforts for the refugees who are coming across our southern border here in San Diego. We are partnering with the Nazarene district and they are partnering with other church organizations to handle thousands who will be granted emergency parole status and relocated from the border to various towns across the country. Our contact point is Spring Valley Church of the Nazarene. They are providing temporary housing and needed goods and services while the processing of paperwork is completed.

Your church (SDFC) has already contributed thousands of dollars in blankets, toiletries, towels, pillows and transportation funds for this effort. We will continue to participate as the weeks unfold. You can contribute funds through our church by giving online via our PushPay giving portal. You can also volunteer to help at Spring Valley, with many different tasks. Signing up to volunteer is simple. Just click this link to fill-out the brief online form. Thank you for your help in this urgent situation.

If you have a prayer request you would like to share, either privately with the church staff or with the SDFC community, please contact the church office at church@sdfcnaz.com or (619) 849-3100.
