Tax regulations for the 2022 individual tax return allow up to $300 in cash gifts to a nonprofit to be deducted whether or not you itemize (up to $600 for a joint return). Year-End Giving Reminders

When mailing a gift, it is the postmark date, not the check date, that determines your tax year benefit.
