Dear Praying Friend,

The last few months have kept us busy with more opportunities than we can keep up with. But God has also given grace upon grace for each day.

For the last 5 months, I have been pastoring at Gilarmi Fundamental Baptist Church. We have been drawn closer to the members of this church, become more burdened for the area, and rejoiced to see tangible steps of growth in families there.
I am currently preaching through the book of Daniel but have equally enjoyed hearing BJMBC students preach for us on Wednesday nights. I praise God for Brother Ver, Tyndale, Vergilio, Allen, Julie and Beverly—all current BJMBC students who serve faithfully and regularly. God's people are blessed and His name glorified by their exemplary service, and it is a delight to see students immediately using the gifts they are strengthening through their studies. We will continue serving alongside these faithful believers through May, when Lord-willing a graduate of BJMBC will return and pastor them.
Preaching every week also requires me to sharpen my Tagalog. While I am constantly aware of my limitations, I’m also grateful to see ongoing progress by God's grace. Every class and cultural opportunity for study was worth the time and money, a thousand times over.
A second major focus is teaching full-time at BJMBC. I am currently teaching Bible Doctrines II, Greek II, Bible Exposition and Biblical Theology. It's my delight to see students learning more about God's Word and loving it. The students ask very insightful questions, and I love having a part in their  learning!
Last, the Lord continues to open up doors across the Philippines and beyond. We have a full schedule this year for week-long block classes in the Philippines and Singapore. These are always highlights.

The opportunities exceed our strength. Would you pray that we would have strength to serve and wisdom to rest? We are trying to get student assistance with some of the tasks that unneccesarily eat away at time. We love what we're doing but do also feel overwhelmed with it all. Please pray that we would have wisdom to accept the best opportunities without exceeding the realistic constraints God has given.
I recently read a very helpful book on time management, helping Christians view the pressure of a busy schedule in biblical context. One thought in particular stood out–our limitations are a God-given reminder of our finitude. God calls us to be stewards of our time. But the experience of running out of time is also part of His will. It's a reminder that while I'm only a creature, He's eternal. It's a daily reminder that my short life passes, but I'm made for more than that. I exist to serve the One with no end, Who transcends time itself.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and your prayers!
