Dear Praying Friend,
At the end of January we arrived back in the Philippines after our first furlough. As the plane landed I heard a little six year old voice saying, "Oh, hurray, the place I know and love!" We have all felt that way for the last 3 months, and the time has flown by.
The blessings and surprises have taken lots of different forms:
  • It is wonderful to be back in our own home!
  • We are back in our wonderful church where God is growing us every week.
  • Ministry opportunities are abundant and endless. I had forgotten how many things there are to do in SE Asia and didn't even realize to what extent I missed it. Being back in these ministries is incredibly fulfilling.

We have already enjoyed several highlight events in the last 3 months:

  • A weekend conference on the book of Daniel at a sister church in Navotas
  • A week-long block course in Baguio city with 25 pastors and church workers
  • The completion of our online course on theological research and writing
  • The 27th BJMBC graduation
  • A weekend conference on the book of Revelation at Lighthouse Bible Believer's Church in Parañaque
Two big prayer requests are on our minds right now:
  1. Sarah's due date is April 23, and the baby could come any day now. We are specifically praying that we can navigate traffic to make it on time (night-time labor would be perfect) and for grace for labor, delivery, and adjustment. We'll update you soon.
  2. A big prayer request for all of us is the final stage of the BJMBC building. God has provided 80% of the funding for this large project. We are praying for the last 20% to come in before the end of June. The good news is that a generous donor has offered to double-match that total, meaning every dollar received will actually bring in $3 to the building fund. By God's power and generous sacrifices of His people, BJMBC will soon have it's first permanent home!
We are thankful that for these and all other requests, we can come with confidence and boldness to our Heavenly Father, Who is worthy of trust and all-powerful. Thank you so much for your prayers!
