Peace Club

Peace ClubPeace Club will be meeting this Sunday, right after nurture time in Jubilee Hall. We will be learning about the difficult times being peacemakers when our ancestors came to where we live now. There were already people living here. What happened to those people?  Did anyone try to make peace with them? Children and their families from first through fifth grade are welcome and expected!

Note of thanks

Thank YouBarb and  I (Greg Smucker) are thankful for the many cards, gifts and kind words we received from many of you over that last few weeks. As we grieve the loss of my father, Ron Smucker, we continue to feel your love and support.  My father recognized the last weeks of his life as part of his spiritual journey. In turn, those weeks became a holy experience for our family as we surrounded and cared for him.

Music Worship Team

Music Worship TeamDo you play an instrument?  Consider joining our music worship team.
There are a number of musicians, young and old, that helped accompany congregational singing during a few worship services this summer.  As a result, the Music Worship Team was formed.  The Music Worship Team will lead singing about once a month. Music parts will be tailored to the level of your experience, from beginners to accomplished musicians.  September 27th and October 25th are our next scheduled Sundays to lead singing.

Meals for College Students

College MealsOver the years, Berkey has been a wonderful, welcoming church home for many college/young adult students. One of the highlights for the students is having a meal each Sunday after church. This allows them to get to know our church family in a more informal setting and learn to know a wider range of people. You don’t need to make anything fancy – just a simple meal of food you enjoy making. You can host in your home or at the church, using the church kitchen. You may sign up individually, with someone else or as a small group. Thank you so much for your meals and friendship to our students!  You can sign up for the meals at takethemameal.com Username: students  Password: bamf.

Bake sale items are sold quickly as people are able to buy these items Friday night. The annual choir program is on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at College Mennonite Church.
