The red house beside our church building has been rented. We extend a warm welcome to our new neighbors Danae Miller, Amanda Hunsberger, and Kristin Yoder.
Jordan Miller has lost a blue leather bound Bible. This is a bible that he has had for a long time which contains many underlined passages and is very special to him. Jordan thinks that he left the bible here at Berkey earlier this spring. If you find it, please contact Jeannie Krabill Miller
Lost & Found
There are many nice items in Lost & Found
that might be yours. Items include bibles, kitchen dishes, winter coats, etc. You will find the Lost & Found
in the north coatroom.
Fall College Assistance
This fall our congregation will have 9 young people attending Mennonite colleges and seminaries. Each student is eligible for assistance of $500 for the fall semester from our college matching fund. Giving to this fund is financially prudent because the colleges match all contributions dollar for dollar—plus you get a tax deduction on your contribution. Very few investments double your money like this does. Please mark your contribution for the college fund and place it in the offering. Thank you.
Electronic Fund Form
For several years Berkey has been providing a service that gives attendees the ability to electronically transfer their contributions from their checking/savings account directly to Berkey. If you have interest in signing up for this option or would like to read more about it, updated forms are now available on the literature rack by the mailboxes for you to take and read.
Bill and Edith Hooley transferred their membership to Pleasant View Mennonite on July 3. We wish them the best as they worship with their new church family.
Series on Intercessory Prayer
This is the second Sunday on a 6-week series of sermons on intercessory prayer. Numerous texts in the Bible either are themselves intercessory prayers or tell stories about people who engage in intercession. For this series, Dan Schrock has selected texts that take different approaches to intercession.
