Our Fall Fest
is tomorrow! Join us beginning at 5:00 p.m. for great time featuring a hog roast, potluck, and contra dancing with Barry Dupen, a caller from Ft. Wayne. This is a great way to welcome college students, neighbors who use our garden plots, and others in a context of fun and fellowship. Please bring a large salad or dessert to share with others, lawn chairs or blankets, and your own picnic service. Buns, condiments, and drinks will be provided. There will also be several vegetarian/vegan dishes provided, so there will be plenty for the non-meat eaters in the congregation to enjoy. View last year's photos

Telling our Faith Stories
In this class we share our faith stories with each other as well as invite special guests to come and share their stories. This week we will share stories from our youth. Stories of rigid compliance with the church as well as stories of outright rebellion are welcome.
Take them a Meal
One of the highlights for our young adults and students is having a meal each Sunday after church. This allows them to get to know our church family in a more informal setting and learn to know a wider range of people. If you would like to host a meal for our students, please sign up below. You don’t need to make anything fancy – just a simple meal of food you enjoy making. You can host in your home or at the church, using the church kitchen. You may sign up individually, with someone else or as a small group. Thank you so much for your meals and friendship to our young adults and students! When you sign up
the recipient last name is "College Students" and the password is "bamf."
Berkey Garden Plots
Planning is underway for next year's garden plots. A plot is 12’ x 24’. If you would like one or more garden plots for next year, please contact Lowell Nafziger
. He needs to make sure all the ground we need for next year is plowed this fall.
Discovering God Through Potatoes
Thanks to all who participated in the summer Sunday school project of planting, hoeing, bagging and buying potatoes. Together we raised $385 for the MCC’s Generations at Risk project in Kisumu, Kenya. Through a network of church and community AIDS educators, each church diocese has created its own AIDS campaign that addresses local challenges and incorporates men, women, and children. People living with AIDS are counseled and accompanied as they seek out medical care and orphan children are cared for through assistance with schools fees and supplies. School-based youth are provided with AIDS education and supported through peer education groups. Community counseling centers and support groups for AIDS widows have also been established.
Sunday School Supplies
Sunday School teachers, with new rooms and class arrangements the Christian Education Commission invites you to give us supply requests. If you need a white board or bulletin board or other items for your classroom please let Lois Mast
know by next Friday (September 20).
Penny Power September
Please note that we plan to have the Penny Power collection each of the remaining three Sundays leading up to the relief sale. Last year the sale had its best year ever with Penny Power raising $50,180 to be used to provide clean, safe and accessible water to people around the world through Mennonite Central Committee and its partners.
On Sunday, September 22, during the fellowship time between worship and Christian education, we will have a baby shower for Neil, Elizabeth, and Abigail Miller Richer, who have recently returned to the States after serving in Colombia under Mennonite Central Committee. This will be a card and money shower. The Fellowship Commission will have blank cards and envelopes available.
