Pre-convention Prayer Retreat

Pre-convention prayer retreatPastors, delegates and others interested in MCUSA are invited to a pre-convention prayer retreat on Saturday, June 6, 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Waterford Mennonite Church. The purpose of the retreat is to recognize that we are all part of God's church and because of that assurance, we can lay our fear and anxiety about the future of MCUSA at the foot of the cross. We will focus on the One who gives us life and to whom we belong. The retreat will take place in four parts: gathering worship, open prayer opportunities, praying through song, and a light meal. This retreat is sponsored by Berkey Avenue Mennonite Church and Waterford Mennonite Church. For more information, contact Marilyn Rudy-Froese at 574-534-2398 or Cindy Voth at 574-533-5642. If you plan to attend and stay for the meal, please RSVP to Missy Kauffman Schrock at 574-849-9753.

Survival Skills for Life Program

The E3 - Survival Skills for Life Program that is helping develop the leadership skills of at-risk boys during their years at Goshen Middle School.  This partnership between GMS, Amigo Centre and Big Brothers Big Sisters in now completing its second year, and we would like to extend an invitation to you to come celebrate with us.

We will have nearly a dozen stations set up where the boys will be demonstrating some of the skills they have learned this past year.  Can we entice you by saying the boys will be demonstrating how to make homemade ice cream, hot fudge, dessert burritos and much more?  The Celebration will take place on May 29th from 4:45 - 6:30 pm at Goshen Middle School. Weather permitting we'll be outdoors on the east side of the building. If you have interest in being a mentor for one of the boys, this would be a great opportunity to get a better picture of what the program is all about.  We will soon be starting with another group of 6th graders and will need 18 mentors for them beginning in September. Even if you aren't interested in being a mentor we'd love to have you come celebrate with us!
