Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network
Berkey hosted GIHN guests this past week, July 24-31. Thank you to the many Berkey volunteers who were part of hosting the families, creating a space and presence for them to feel cared for and welcome.
Reece Orion Bontrager Yoder
Our new son Reece Orion, arrived July 27 at 3:05 p.m.! We are doing well and had a really good first night of sleep. Very glad for our mothers/mothers-in-law to help support Evan and Kahlan through this transition as we re-learn how to have a newborn in our midst and get to know this newest addition to our family.
~ Andrea, Brandon, Evan, and Kahlan
Childcare for Young Berkey Families
A resource list is being created for young Berkey families who are looking for childcare. If you enjoy taking care of children and would like to learn to know young Berkey families better, you are invited to join this list. To be included or for questions, contact Elisabeth Barahona
Fall College Assistance
Our fall goal for the college and seminary assistance fund is $4,500, which will benefit 9 young people from Berkey. To date we've received $3,865, leaving $635 to meet our goal. This fund is one of the few ways you can double your investment--our colleges and seminaries match all contributions dollar for dollar. In addition, you get a tax deduction on your contribution. Please mark your contribution for the "college fund" and place it in the offering. Thank you.
Series on Intercessory Prayer
This is the third Sunday on a 6-week series of sermons on intercessory prayer. - August 7: Ephesians 6:10-18
- August 14: Luke 8:1-8 (this one is technically petition)

You are invited to read the sermons on the Berkey website
as they become available.
