Fall College Assistance
This fall our congregation will have 14 young people attending Mennonite colleges. Each student is eligible for assistance of $500 for the fall semester from our college matching fund. Giving to this fund is financially prudent because the colleges match all contributions dollar for dollar—plus you get a tax deduction on your contribution. Very few investments double your money like this does. Please mark your contribution for the college fund and place it in the offering. Thank you.
This Sunday, July 27th, during our fellowship hour, we will be celebrating the wedding of Lynelle Yoder and Josh Hofer with a card/ money shower.

Marriage Retreat: a Bicycle Built for Two
A Bicycle Built for Two
is a hard-hitting comedy that takes a playful look at marriage, commitment, and divorce. It follows three couples at various stages in their relationships: a young couple, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed with their recent engagement, an aging pair of empty nesters who are trying to rediscover their marriage after some-odd 30 years and a dueling duo just entering a divorce. Come on out on September 12 at 7:00 p.m., to Waterford Mennonite Church and catch the show. Tickets are $10 per person. Additionally, the marriage retreat will continue on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until noon. There will be light refreshments at 9:45 a.m. and childcare will be provided. Learn more
New to the Library
This week we have three new selections to the library. It happened in Moscow
by Maureen S. Klassen, a fascinating, non-fiction account not only about family relationships in the 1930's but also about a Mennonite leader, C. F. Klassen, and the apparent efforts to protect his reputation. Having Our Say: The Delaney Sister's First 100 Years
by Sarah L. Delany and A. Elizabeth Delany features two voices beautifully blended to evoke an epic history, often cruel and brutal, but always deeply humane. For the younger set,Grandma's Shoes
by Pat Fisher is a story of grandma's only two pairs of shoes but is finally rewarded when a package arrives from Sears Roebuck.
