Good Friday Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on March 25. The evening will start with foot washing and communion in the fellowship hall then continue with a Taize style worship service in the sanctuary. Then, on Easter, everyone is invited to breakfast at 9:00 a.m. Worship will begin at 10:00 a.m. Nurture classes will not be meeting.
The Mission Commission has scheduled a service project at the Window on Thursday, April 7, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. to sort through donations and do other tasks to assist the staff. There is a sign up sheet posted on the bulletin board by the mailboxes if you plan to volunteer. We will need to inform the Window staff how many to expect no later than April 3. All are welcome to help with this project.
A new letter from Mike Genau is now posted on the Mission Bulletin Board. Mike is doing service work with Jubilee Partners in Comer, Georgia. In this letter, Mike shares some of his experiences working with people in the forest, playing checkers, and welcoming new people to the country.
A big “shout out” thank you to the four MYF sponsors and the MYF’ers who helped pick up sticks and branches on the church property, house property, and the three acre field. This was a big help and really appreciated.
Plans are underway for this year's garden plots. A plot is 12’ x 25’. Manure is put on in the fall, the soil has been tested and treated, water is available, and the area is fenced in. Garden tools are kept in the barn and are available for you to use. If you would like one or more plots, email

The red house beside the church will be available to rent in April. It has 4 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The cost is $750 per month. Gas and electric are the responsibility of the tenant. This coming week the Stephen Ministry training class will be considering the subject of "Helping Suicidal Persons Get the Help they Need". In this presentation they will be working with a questionnaire that provides much significant information about suicide and shows how to minister to suicidal people. Those who are participating in Stephen Ministry training are excited about what they are learning and about the ministries they are anticipating. We look forward to the work of our Stephen Ministers among us.

The newly formed ensemble, Baroque Identity, brings together three internationally acclaimed specialists in Historical Performance: Jaap ter Linden baroque cellist/gambist, Lisa Goode Crawford, harpsichord, and Kathie Stewart, baroque flute/recorder. Representing the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in Amsterdam, Oberlin Conservatory, and Apollo’s Fire, the members hold a significant resumé of critically-acclaimed performances, recordings, and publications. Together, these three musicians present an engaging program of music of the Baroque on period instruments, including works by Telemann, Couperin, and J. S. Bach.

Empty Bowl Project
The 16th annual Empty Bowl Project to benefit Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network will be Saturday, March 26, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Mill Race Center Farmer's Market. The cost is $15 which includes a handmade bowl, delicious soup of your choice, bread and beverage. These are provided by area restaurants and guild members.

A training opportunity is available in Goshen for people interested in becoming Hospice volunteers. As the hospice population continues to grow, volunteers who have been trained are greatly needed. A volunteer may provide respite for the family so they can continue with as much of their normal routine as possible. This can be done as straightforward as volunteers spending time sitting with a patient or as involved as helping someone with a life review. The next training session will be April 12-28 on the Goshen Hospital campus. The 18 hours of training will be conducted in six 3-hour sessions on successive Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-9:00 p.m. See the bulletin board by the mailboxes for more details.

MDS Volunteers Needed
Ten volunteers are needed to help with the Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) project in Detroit, April 18-22. This project includes clean-up and reconstruction in response to massive flooding in 2014 that damaged the homes of 128,000 families. It is a bi-national MDS effort (both Canadian and American). Church Community Services (CCS) will be hosting the 5th annual Amazing Elkhart Race on April 30.
