Thank you for contributing to MCC's effort to respond to the needs of people around the world who have been displaced by war and unstable weather patterns.

Meals for College Students

Meals for college studentsOver the years, Berkey has been a wonderful, welcoming church home for many college/young adult students. One of the highlights for the students is having a meal each Sunday after church. This allows them to get to know our church family in a more informal setting and learn to know a wider range of people. You don’t need to make anything fancy – just a simple meal of food you enjoy making. You can host in your home or at the church, using the church kitchen. You may sign up individually, with someone else or as a small group. Thank you so much for your meals and friendship to our students!  You can sign up for the meals at takethemameal.com Username: students  Password: bamf.

Throwback Thursday

thtHead on over to our Facebook page for a photographic collection of our early history -- complete with difficult to recognize building features, incredible hairstyles and clothing, and who knows what else we will dig up! Play along and see if you can spot anybody you know, and don't forget to like our page if you haven't already!

Pray for Liberty Christian Fellowship Somerset Center, MI, (interim pastor Don Stoll) and for their pastor, Ron Soloc, who is on sick leave, being challenged by cancer that has now affected his voice. Praise for the effectiveness of the bi-annual fund raisers, the Soup Supper, November 14, and the Steak Supper next April, for the community connections it provides as well as the funds for local relief and MDS.
Pray for Locust Grove Mennonite Church, Sturgis, MI, (pastor Bill Beck). Praise for the meaning of their recent 75th anniversary celebration.
Praise God for Israel College of the Bible, “the first Hebrew-language Bible college since the days of the disciples,” says a Mennonite Mission Network professor. Pray that the Arab Christian and Messianic Jewish students who study together will also be peace-builders in the Middle East.
