and current commission list
2. Berkey Volunteer Form
This form outlines service options available, helps commissions make contacts, and helps you serve where you feel God is calling you. Most of these opportunities are open to regular attendees.
This Sunday will be the last day that the books being discarded from the library will be available in the Fellowship Hall. Please help yourself to anything that you would enjoy reading. Books that are not claimed will be taken to the Depot next week.

We're so grateful for your generous contributions to the Bethany Fund. In the coming academic year five students from Berkey will be attending Bethany Christian Schools. To fully fund these five students, we need $27,385.90, 20% of which ($5,479.18) will come from our congregation's general fund. That means we need to receive above budget contributions of $21,916.72 into the Bethany Fund.
However, we're happy to report that we've already collected $35,537.34, which means that no further contributions are necessary between now and April 30. On May 1 we'll start receiving contributions for the 2018-19 school year, but with a beginning balance of $13,620.62. Thank you for generously helping to support our Bethany students! ~Stewardship & Finance Commission
Don't forget to add Bible School, June 5-9, to your calendar. There will be classes for children age 4 (by August 1) through grade 5. Youth Summer Camp Designated Fund
We invite you to consider making a contribution to Berkey Avenue's Youth Summer Camp designated fund this month. We anticipate several requests for financial assistance to help church youth experience a week of camp this summer at either Camp Amigo or Camp Friedenswald and would like to be able to give generously. A week of summer camp represents an investment of $300. Please contact Dale Snyder, Berkey Avenue’s Mennonite Camp Representative, at 574-238-6956 (call or text) or by email
if you have any questions regarding this fund. Thank you!
News about the Parking Lot
The city of Goshen has officially approved our plans for a parking lot expansion! Our next step is contacting Yaw Construction about when they will be able to start working, but we hope they can begin this spring. Architectural drawings of the site will be posted in the fellowship hall by Sunday.
To build the new parking, a tree northwest of the house will have to come down by the end of April. If you want the wood from this tree, the trustees will help you take it down and cut it up. Contact Lowell Nafziger if you're interested.
Dessert Bar Thanks
A HUGE thank you to all the folks who made desserts for our Teacher Appreciation Meal last Sunday. The dessert bar was abundant, lavish and delicious! Thank you for all your support to our teachers and leaders for Christian Education.
