Ben Woodward Breckbill begins as a pastoral intern at Berkey. He is a student at AMBS and has been a part of our congregation during the last year. He will be involved in various aspects of ministry this fall and during the winter and spring, learning what it means to be a ministering person. We will have a blessing for him this Sunday, September 13. Please welcome him into this role. May God's Spirit bless and sustain him.
Over the years, Berkey has been a wonderful, welcoming church home for many college/young adult students. One of the highlights for the students is having a meal each Sunday after church. This allows them to get to know our church family in a more informal setting and learn to know a wider range of people. You don’t need to make anything fancy – just a simple meal of food you enjoy making. You can host in your home or at the church, using the church kitchen. You may sign up individually, with someone else or as a small group. Thank you so much for your meals and friendship to our students! You can sign up for the meals at
The next available Stephen Minister training will be this coming January through April on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Greencroft Community Center. Please contact
Thank you for all the support you gave me (Ginny Martin) at the time of my mother's death. The plant, white rose, cards, emails and other kindnesses were all special and deeply appreciated. The worship service and remembering of mom (Miriam) was both tearful and wonderful. She planned her service. Her grandchildren, age 30-50, led the various aspects of worship and shared stories.
Blessings, Ginny Martin.
