Bethany Fund

Bethany FundIn the coming year, four students from Berkey will be attending Bethany Christian Schools. The estimated tuition cost for these students will be $41,763. Since we already have $38,499.72 in the Bethany fund, we only need $3,263.28 by April 30. If you'd like to contribute, write your check to Berkey Avenue Mennonite and mark it for "Bethany Fund."

Garden Plots

Need a garden plot?If you want a garden plot this year let Lowell Nafziger know.  Each plot is 12’ x 24’, there is a fence around it, and there is water piped out to the garden.  A load of manure was put on last fall. Thanks to Sherm Kauffman who is having his brother do soil tests for us to get the best results. You are not limited to one plot. A $5.00 donation per plot is suggested for manure and preparation of the garden. Plots should be ready the first part of May.

Berkey Treasurer

treasurer volunteerAt the November 16 congregational meeting, a motion was approved to hire a lead treasurer from outside Berkey for the current fiscal year. However, the Stewardship and Finance Commission was also asked to find out whether a qualified person inside the congregation is willing to do this work on a volunteer basis. The commission is now fulfilling this request by advertising for this role. See the candidate's qualification.
