Intergenerational Sunday School: Nature/Earthcare

Earth CareThis Sunday, June 30, the nature/earthcare Sunday School class will be taking a field trip to Red Tail Farm, a unique farm-within-the-city, located on Waverly Avenue near Goshen College and the Mill Race. The farm features a historic barn, nature trails, wetlands, baby chicks, friendly sheep, and a community garden. Maps/directions will be provided, but please bring appropriate clothing--footwear that is good for walking in grass, and rain gear as needed. We will do the field trip even if it is (lightly) raining.

Church Renovation Update

Thanks to all that helped so far with our clean up and construction efforts. As of Monday night, the ages of our volunteers now spans 70 years (12 to 82). We have made some changes to our original plan.  Some of the changes have reduced costs and others have increased expenses. Even with the changes, we are staying within our budget. General clean-up and moving construction waste to the dumpsters helps keep our hired labor costs down.  We could use more volunteers to work at general clean-up. If you are planning to help, please contact Greg by email (greg.smucker20@gmail.com), text, or phone (574-536-1996). Check out the photos on Facebook. Learn more.

Volunteer Janitors Needed

We are looking for volunteers to fill in for our regular janitors to clean and prepare the church for Sunday Morning on July 21, 28, and August 4. This would be a good activity for a family, small group, or individuals.  Cleaning can be done during the week, or Saturday.  Tasks include preparing the Sanctuary and Sunday school classes for Sunday.  Cleaning bathrooms and making presentable.  Vacuuming as needed.  Sweeping and vacuuming entrances, cleaning and vacuuming all open spaces as needed.  If you are available to help out on any or several of these dates. Please contact Ben Buckwalter at ben@buckwalter.com.

Online Photo Directory

The BullersThe online photo directory is under construction and if you haven't signed up to get your photo taken, you can sign up online or email Renae Yoder. John Hooley will be taking the portraits. If you are interested in keeping your photo, let Rafael know and he will email it to you. Additionally, if you would like to include a link to your Facebook profile, please let Rafael know as well and he will add it to your entry.
