Community Announcements

Thanks from MCC Great Lakes

Thank you from MCC Great Lakes for your faithful and continuing support of the work of MCC. We are grateful to all of you who have given your resources of time, money, creativity and energy through meat canning, thrift shops, relief sales, Penny Power, board participation, special events and donations. Your support makes possible the disaster response, sustainable community development and peacemaking work of MCC. Our year end financial numbers are in, and your generosity has allowed MCC to fully meet our budget and international commitments to our partners around the world.

As you all know, the crisis in Syria continues to escalate and neighboring countries are overwhelmed by countless numbers of refugees where resources are scarce to meet the humanitarian needs. We recently received word that containers with MCC relief supplies made it into Syria for the second time in three months. Distribution of school kits, hygiene kits, blankets, food and other items is in process. We could not have done it without you. Thank you for your support and prayers as we partner alongside communities, meeting basic needs and working for peace and justice in the name of Christ.

Thanks,
Jennifer Steiner
MCC Great Lakes Communications Coordinator
