Menno's Best Coffee: Did you know?
Today (Sunday 6/7) is the LAST DAY to purchase or order Menno's Best coffee. There are about 12 bags of ground available for purchase. If you want whole bean or we sell out of ground, you can order it today with pick up next week.
- Bags are $12 each, available in whole bean or ground.
- For each bag sold, the MYF earns $5 to help with convention costs. $1 also goes to MCC and MMN.
- We have earned over $500 from this fundraiser. Thanks for your support!
- This was a special fundraiser sponsored by Goshen College to help youth groups raise money for convention. After today, it will no longer be available.

Mission Commission: Personal Items Drive
During the month of June, the Mission Commission is sponsoring a Personal Items Drive for the Elkhart County Women’s Shelter. The Elkhart County Women's Shelter is the only domestic violence shelter in Elkhart County. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year to provide crisis intervention and safe shelter for victims of domestic abuse. Items the Shelter currently needs include: deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, towels, pillows, twin sheets, razors, diapers (Size 4), baby wipes, baby shampoo and diaper rash cream.

Learning Tour to Bolivia
Mission Commission is in the early stages of planning a Learning Tour to Bolivia to visit Simon and Becca Smucker, Hannah Canaviri and Gretchen Geyer. We are planning for a June 2016 trip, specific dates and details to be determined. At this point, we wanted to make you aware of this so you can start planning and dreaming with us. Bus driver is needed (before and after school) to begin in August 2015. Applicants must have or be willing to obtain a commercial driver’s license with school endorsement, a safe driving record, physical health to operate a 26-passenger bus safely, first-aid certification, and interpersonal skills to relate well to students and parents. Music Together Classes
The Goshen College Community School of the Arts (CSA) is accepting registrations for Music Together® music and movement classes for young children from birth to age 5 and their families, to be held in June and July 2015. Classes will be held in Elkhart and Goshen. Learn more
Borders, Boundaries and Bridges
On a Tuesday morning in a large, bare room deep in the Elkhart County Correctional Facility, 15 women – some in street clothes and some in tan or red or yellow prison uniforms – stood in a circle holding hands, and sang a song called “I found God in myself,” based on a Ntozake Shange quote. The women were students in the Inside-Out Prison Exchange course. Half the students were from Goshen College and the others were “inside” students. Learn more
Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary
Fifteen students were honored at the commencement service on May 23. Ten of these are serving as pastors or are pursuing pastoral ministry. Others are pursuing chaplaincy, further study, and community-based peace and justice work. For all their acquired knowledge to be transmuted to wisdom, speaker Nancy Bedford told the graduates, "it needs to be embedded in practices of peace, compassion, humility and honesty."

2015 Funk Fest at Prairie Street MC
John Bell of the Iona Community in Scotland—prolific composer, teacher on worship and music—will speak at Prairie Street Mennonite Church, Elkhart, on Saturday, June 13, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Topic: “The engaged spirituality of Jesus.” Cost: $20. Christmas in June Concert by The Ripple Effect
On Sunday, June 14, the ground-breaking vocal group, The Ripple Effect, will be presenting a Christmas in June concert at Kern Road Mennonite Church in South Bend. The program begins at 4:00 p.m. with a variety of Christmas favorites, followed by a traditional carol sing-along, and Pepper Choplin's profound and masterful cantata, The Heart of Christmas (complete with orchestra). A free-will offering will be taken, and 10% of the monetary proceeds will be donated to Christmas Commandos, who provide much needed emotional and financial support to families that have experienced the unexpected loss of a child or a parent with children still at home (for details, see

A corps of healthcare professionals is needed to provide triage medical services during the Mennonite World Conference (MWC) global assembly in Harrisburg, Pa., July 21–25. Doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians are invited to volunteer for one or more four-hour shifts throughout the week. Waterford Mennonite church seeks to hire a part-time custodian to assist in the ministry of providing welcoming, clean, and safe facilities for God’s work among members and visitors. This is a shared position between two part-time people, each ranging from 10 – 15 hours per week. Schedule is somewhat flexible, but typically involves several days throughout the week.
