Garden tools are kept in the barn and are available for you to use. If you would like one or more plots, email Lowell Nafziger or call him at (574) 533-3537.  A donation of $5.00 per plot to Lowell is suggested to help with manure and other expenses.

Life Stage Sunday School class: 30s and 40s

Sunday SchoolIt's not too late to join our 30s and 40s life stage class! In this class we hope to deepen relationships and explore faith with a (somewhat) consistent group of people in a similar life stage. This spring we will spend time getting to know one another, and Dan Schrock has agreed to lead us in faith conversations using a book as a guide. The book is still to be determined. We will meet in the sanctuary. Join us!

Cards for Jered

Notes for JeredDuring this Lenten and Easter season, we would like to send notes to Jered Liechty who is currently incarcerated at the Westville Correctional Facility. If you would like to show care or encouragement, please consider writing a few sentences to him. If you are not sure what to write, perhaps you could share a favorite bible verse or a poem. There are bright colored note cards on the table by the mailboxes for you to use. Place your card in the Office Manager's mailbox; the office will mail the cards weekly.

Stephen Ministry Training Continues:  Dealing with Depression

stephen ministriesThis coming week the Stephen Ministry training class will be considering the subject of "Dealing with Depression: The Stephen Minister's Role". In this presentation they will be looking into the very common experience of depression--its causes, its symptoms, and the very special role Stephen Ministers have in the lives of people who are depressed. Those who are participating in Stephen Ministry training are excited about what they are learning and about the ministries they are anticipating. We look forward to the work of our new Stephen Minister.

PrayerPlease contact the office by noon on Thursday with prayer requests.

Pray for Arloa Bontrager, Del Hershberger, and Sharon Norton of Mennonite Mission Network as they spend the coming week with Journey International participants in Indonesia, reflecting on their experience and strengthening the relationship with host church, Jemaat Kristen Indonesia.

Pray for Michigan Avenue Mennonite, Pigeon, MI (Scot Wilson, pastor). Pray for them during the services of Holy Week that Jesus would be honored and people who attend will be ministered to. Also pray that they will see the Lord as great and lift His name up in worship and praise.

Thank God for the new members who have joined the New Hope Community Church of Midland, MI (Denny Heath, pastor). There was a baptism in February. Pray for one of the families in the congregation who has suffered several personal tragedies: death of the mother six months ago; health issues with the father; and two car wrecks last week.
