Note From Mike Genau

Mike GenauI just wanted to update everyone who has ordered photos. There has been a delay because the company I use for prints has updated their printers and during the switch-over they got behind on their orders. So, the photos are coming, but taking longer than expected. The company assured me they'd ship them express when they're ready. Time here at Jubilee is flying by. We only have 3 weeks left in the term. I'm planning to send out a more detailed update on life here sometime next week. Hope you all are well.

Throwback Thursday

tbtHead on over to our Facebook page for a photographic collection of our early history -- complete with difficult to recognize building features, incredible hairstyles and clothing, and who knows what else we will dig up! Play along and see if you can spot anybody you know, and don't forget to like our page if you haven't already!

Do you have an announcement for the Newsletter? Submit your announcement to the office by noon on Thursday. Announcements received after the deadline will be printed the following week.

AMBS Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary

Over 70 people ranging in age from 101 to seven months old gathered in the AMBS Gallery and Bookstore to help Alan Kreider celebrate the birth of his new book, The Patient Ferment of the Early Church: The Improbable Rise of Christianity in the Roman Empire. This book, a large portion of which Kreider was able to research at the AMBS Library, is the culmination of about three decades of study and teaching arguing that the Early Church’s commitment to patience was what enabled them to grow. You can listen to the remarks he gave at the celebration here, and if you come to campus, you can purchase his book at the Mennonite Co-Op Bookstore. Kreider is Professor Emeritus of Church History and Mission.
