Apple Fiber Studio

Trunk Show!

Tomorrow through August 25th Apple Fiber Studio comes to LambShoppe with a trunk full of beautiful yarns. We have a small selection in the shop already, but this trunk show will introduce us to an even greater selection of weights and bases. If you are in the neighborhood, please stop by and introduce yourself to Andrew and Andrea the couple behind this wonderful brand.

Join us at LambShoppe with Jennifer Miller as we cast on Verdigreen!

Friday evening, Aug 16: Cast on Party, featuring the Traveler, wool/silk DK exclusive & just for yarn crawl. Verdigreen by Nim Teasdale.

This eye-catching textured triangle designed for having fun with color and contrast. The pattern is created to be interactive, both the straight and mullioned sections are indefinitely repeatable, and the knitter can shift between the two sections to make a unique creation. The unusual stitch pattern is created by alternating stripes of stockinette and reverse stockinette, overlaid with lines of slipped stitches and mini-cables, creating a dynamic and 3 dimensional filigree effect. It is ideal for showing off two contrasting or complementary skeins, or try a solid paired with a speckled or gradient for dynamic results. Click here to view the pattern on Ravelry.

But the fun doesn't stop there, Jennifer Miller will be around Saturday & Sunday for a trunk show in the Shoppe. Featuring the wool/silk dk & exclusive Auxanometer colorway for crawl, based on Colorado state mineral, rhodochrosite. Also, make sure to check out her kits in Palladio (MCS) for the Autumn in Taos shawl, some sets of 50g skeins in plain & also in gradients, and a few wool bases.
Made in two steps, the base and the swirly top are made using Lamb’s Pride worsted or bulky. Perfect project you can complete while watching the Rockies … And, you can’t have too many!  Once you learn the technique, oh the colors you'll use (as we digress to Dr Seuss!). All you need to know is the chain stitch and double crochet. FUN. Click here to sign up!
