Hey Whitney! What's on your needles?
The world is certainly a changed place...... Whitney is CROCHETING!?!?!? So the real question is "Hey Whitney, what is on your hook?"
Well friends, glad you asked! I have always loved the idea of making a scrappy blanket with lots of different colored leftovers, but it never seemed to work. Either all the colors clashed or the scraps seemed to behave differently despite being the same weight and fiber content. So I took the idea of making my scrappy blanket and put it on the back burner. That IS until KFI introduced their Teenie Weenie Wool Kit! I knew this was just the thing I was looking for to create my scrappy blanket! All I was missing was something to border the 35 colors. I didn't have to look much further than our own backyard. Ali from Herd of Cats right here in Denver had exactly what I needed, her Road Trip Sock Yarn in color "Natural" was just the ticket! Seven skeins of Natural, one Teenie Weenie Kit, and a pandemic was all I needed to get this project off the back burner and back onto my hook... and I couldn't be happier with the result.
Although this kit has little pattern support, there is nothing like it on the market. It is perfect for colorwork, aragarumi, or anything where you need LOTS of color options but not a lot of yardage. This is the perfect kit for that indie designer in your life. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
