With the weather warming up, we thought this little project would be the perfect thing to keep your hands busy and get you excited about picking up those needles to cast on your next project.
The Belmina Cowl is a quick, fun project, worked flat (sideways) and seamed at the back of the neck. It features lace edging and creates a center point to mimic a triangular shawl but without the bulk. Melanie Rice created this beautiful shawl using a variation of a lace edging from an 1891 pattern. We tend to forget that knitting patterns were not usually written down before the 1820s's. Takes three generations to make tradition and here you have it!
Berroco has come up with a fabulous idea to help out local yarn shops during this strange time. Since retail shopping is still an uncertain proposition, we are thrilled to be a part of the Berroco 123 Dropship program. This program allows you to place yarn and pattern orders with Lambshoppe, and Berroco will ship the product directly to your home.
Our first featured project is the beautiful Weatherman sweater, a nearly seamless yoked sweater with the body knit in the round from the bottom up. The sleeves are also knit in the round with increases, and then a few stitches are placed on a stitch holder for the underarm which is later grafted together with the body using the kitchener stitch. Body and sleeves are joined at this point and the pattern is worked evenly in the round for the beautifully patterned yoke. There are three gorgeous colorways available for this sweater.

We are totally in love with Andrea Mowry’s Nightshift Shawl! We have assembled colorways using soft and machine washable Cascade 220 Superwash Wave. These Nightshift Shawl kits are a great way to play with the fun long variegated stripes of Cascade’s 220 Superwash Wave.
Knit side-to-side, the Nightshift Shawl features simple techniques: slipped stitches, mosaic knitting, and I-cord edging make this an engaging project to knit.
Having the little ones home full time is demanding, let's face it. Young minds and active fingers need a creative outlet and we have a great one for you -- this fun yarn tree kit. Available in two colors, the completed tree can be used to organize jewelry, hair ties, or a variety of other small objects. Or simply display as a colorful addition to your child's room decor.

The Knitting Doctor is In!!
If your project needs a knitting doctor, and the patient has worn out your patience, we are here to help! Simply drop it off, fill out the “prescription pad” with your name, address, email. Name of the pattern, and what seems to be happening. If you can make a copy of the pattern - even better! These projects will wait in the project waiting room for at least 4 days, so that the Knitting Doctor feels comfortable to handle them. Project Doctor Appointments are $20 each. Once the patient is cured, we will set it out for you to pick up, or mail it to you, your choice.
