New Year New Beginnings

It's that time of year again. You know that time of year where you feel bad about random things that you did or didn't do in the past months. Such as not making it to the gym three times a week, and instead eating out three times a week.  Trying to remember to bring in those fancy reusable bags at the grocery store and under your sink are a million plastic bags that remind you of every time you forgot or were too lazy to get them from your car.

I could keep going, and I know that for most of you the famous "finishing all my unfinished projects and working through my stash" is a big one on your list. But if I can be frank, the reason why that yarn is just sitting there is because you don't like it! Let's face it if you liked the project, you would have picked it up in the 3 years that it's been sitting in the bag next to your chair. So here is my solution: Dust off that project that is just giving you anxiety and bring it to LambShoppe now through the end of the month and relinquish it to the donation box. In exchange...
LambShoppe will give you
20% off any regular priced item!

Last year I famously gave up wasting my precious spare time working on something that I no longer enjoyed knitting. Everyone has one of those projects, the one where the pattern has 15 mistakes and you're not even to the armhole. Uh! Well I got rid of a lot and I felt so much better and I was much more productive. But if I am truly being honest, I kept a couple projects thinking "oh I will finish this" and guess what?-- it has stayed in the project bag for another year, another trip around the sun and it is not one stitch further than last year. So it's on the chopping block. New Year - New Me - New Projects! Out with the old and in with the new.

Not so fine print: Donations will be collected January 1st through January 31st 2020  Limit of 2 donations per day per customer. Projects will be donated to charities of LambShoppe's choosing.  20% promotion not eligible for classes or gift cards.
Upcoming Classes at LambShoppe!

An asymmetrical triangular shawl worked sideways with lace and added texture. This is a great pattern that you can easily convert to use a different weight yarn than the pattern calls for. In this class we will be using bulky weight and it gives this shawl a new twist. Striping is organic to Noro Yarn, so converting the pattern to Noro’s new Ito Yarn was an obvious choice.

It’s a LambShoppe staple. The name says it all “Quick Top-Down Baby Jacket.” Knit on a size 15 needle, this is a quick project with lots to learn. It is a perfect first time sweater that is… you guessed it… QUICK! The sweater is knit from the top down, with raglan sleeves on double pointed needles, pick up and knit the collar and button band, making button holes and lots more. Pattern comes in 3 Baby/Infant sizes so options to choose from.

Back by popular demand! Nicknamed "Knitting Boot Camp" this class gets your knitting skills and confidence back in shape. Building Blocks was created to move the new knitter beyond the basics by introducing the major knitting techniques in a systematic approach. Each block builds upon the skills of the previous block, allowing the knitter to gain confidence and knowledge while working towards a beautiful sample afghan.

Join us for a fun class with guest instructor – the Autumn in Taos shawl by Martha Sykes of Taos, NM! This lovely and unique crescent shawl features a top down construction and 3 contrasting colors of fingering weight yarn. Construction details include garter tab start; slip stitch texture; applied edging with intarsia. This is a great way to learn easy and dramatic intarsia techniques! The pattern will keep you learning and growing, and produce a remarkable finished item!

Subtle glitz and garter stitch in the round makes this adorable, loose-fitting wrap which is perfect for a little bit of warmth over a top or a dress.  Slip it off of your shoulders and you now have an oversized cowl.  Pattern uses 3 skeins of Adriafil Stellato, which is available in  7 colors.  Fast, fun gift to make also – and it fits everyone!

Make this asymmetrical shawl and “Audition” for a role as a fashion maven in the knitting universe.  This stellar (get it, star – audition – role – OK, I’m done) creation is made with garter intermissions (I couldn’t stop myself) between the four unique stitch patterns.  Another Michelle Hunter “Oscar” winner (I’m done apologizing) using one skein of Skacel Spray, and two same-color skeins of Simplicity.
