NEWS & OPPORTUNITIES

JOIN US AT THE AMERICAN METEOROLOGICAL SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING IN DENVER

The American Meteorological Society Annual meeting is next week! We can't wait to meet with those of you who are attending in our very own backyard of Denver. There are a couple of ways you can connect:

VISIT OUR BOOTH

Swing by our booth in the exhibit hall, learn about the many opportunities and resources we offer at NCAR and UCAR, grab a scarf (while supplies last!), and snap a selfie with our penguin! It will be so "ice to sea" you.

ATTEND OUR RECEPTION

We are hosting a community reception on Monday evening. We hope you will join us as we gather with our colleagues and friends to celebrate the NCAR and UCAR programs that are developing the scientists of the future. Drinks, dessert, and late-night snacks will be provided.

DATE: Monday, January 9, 2023
TIME: 7:45pm - 10:00pm (drop in anytime)
LOCATION: Henry's Tavern, 500 16th St Mall Suite 184B, Denver, CO 80202

This meant that solar energy forecasts for several days substantially overestimated the amount of power that would be generated by the Sun.
