Accommodation
Our web site has plenty of
accommodation options – whether you are looking for a top class hotel or a top quality park to set up your caravan. Canberra has it all.
Remember that it is always worth checking accommodation sites such as wotif.com, hotels.com and booking.com to see what they can offer. You can often pick up a bargain.
There are plenty of hotels in the vicinity, The National Convention Centre is just on the edge of Canberra CBD and the hotels within two or three kilometres are an easy walk on properly formed, flat footpaths.
Speaker Update
Unfortunately Michelle Patient has had to withdraw from Congress. To ensure that no-one is disappointed, Michelle has suggested an alternative speaker. We will update the website with details as soon our new speaker is confirmed.
Timely then for us to remind you that, once registered you are always free to change your session preferences—at least while places remain in a session. So if you are already registered to see Michelle just login using your Congress registration details to revise your preferences (see below for instructions).
Shuttle buses between Congress venue and social events
We have arranged shuttle buses on the evening of the major social events. On Thursday evening there will be buses travelling between the Convention Centre and the Australian War Memorial and on Saturday evening between the Convention Centre and Australian Parliament House. There will be a small charge for these ($5 each way) and tickets will be available from 2pm on Thursday at the Convention Centre.
It will assist us in planning times and number of buses required if you would indicate on your registration whether you would like to use this service. No obligation, it is just to help us plan. There is also parking available at both venues. Closer to the time, we suggest that you check their websites for details.
Do you want to change your registration in any way?
Would you like to select a different session, book a partner tour or attend one of the social events? Have you changed your email address or other contact details? You can edit your registration until just a couple of weeks before Congress. When you first register for Congress you will receive a code that allows you to access your registration. To make changes, go to the Congress website, enter the Delegate Zone (from the home page) use your access code and edit your registration.
Folk Festival
