Part 2 - Get Rid of Spirit of Fear to Peace Previous Part 1 of Fear
1 Peter 5:7-9
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
We can cast all of our cares to the Lord. We need to learn to trust the Lord because the enemy is your adversary who does roar like a lion trying to devour you. He wants you not to trust God in all things and have doubt and unbelief that God cares for you.
Fear is the opposite of faith. We are all going to get hit with fear, but it is what we do with fear. Do we stay in it allowing it to drive us or do we trust the Lord enough to cast our cares on the Lord? Others have so hurt some of you that you have trust issues with God and others. You have a broken heart and fear always comes in. Maybe you were betrayed by someone you trusted! It hurts deeply. Jesus came to heal the broken-hearted according to Luke 4:18.
God is a Father of Love and God is the only one that loves us perfectly.
The Greek Work deals, translated fear in the New Testament, means "to dread; timid," it means "faithless or fearful." Fear is equated with being faithless (Matthew 8:26, Mark 4:40, II Timothy 1:7, Revelations 21:8). In Mark 4:40 sys, "and He said unto the, Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?"
Can we say if we stay in fear that fear is a sin? Do you want to learn how to defeat fear? I know I did. Being afraid, uneasy or anxious, and having great fear can cause extreme problems spiritually, physically and mentally.
In Psalm 56:11 says, "In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me." God can deliver us from Satan's grip and heal our diseases if we put our trust in Him.
The Bible gives us many antidotes and remedies to fear. In 1 John 4:18 says "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment.
Fear often uses torment to affect our minds nd bodies, causing mental and physical diseases. Did you know there are over 4000 types of fear? Are you afraid to be alone, fear of abandonment, fear of authority, fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of not paying bills, etc. etc. etc.?
Since the scriptures links fear to faithlessness, then fear must be a form of sin. In Revelations 21:8 says, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers', and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake wich burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death."
We need a reality check now because now is the time that our hearts are being perfected for eternity. What Jesus did on the cross has given us the victory to rise above a spirit of fear. When fear hits us, we can cast our cares on the Lord.
When I used to have allergies and every morning and had to take a pill so that I could go to work because of the drainage that would make me gag. I decided to fight it. When that feeling came upon me, I would quote, "Perfect Love cast out fear..." I would step into His presence and would feel God's peace and love and the drip stopped. I finally had the victory.
I used to have panic attacks, and I would stand on that same scripture in 1 John 4:18 and find His peace. I learned to overcome fear through God's Word because God's Word washes our mind and increases our faith. It says faith comes by hearing. I would also feel my feet on the ground and breath deeply to get control over what the enemy was doing.
Fear is a spirit and fear is a being. It projects into the future and causes you to lose hope and steals your faith. Do you want to start having victory in your life? We will help you at the conference to find victory.
