Our annual Discover Magazine should be hitting your mailboxes by the middle of next week. We encourage you to keep your copy handy throughout the year as a resource for facilitating opportunities for all of our Members. The foundation of the West Orange Chamber is Members doing business with other Members. We so fervently support this, that we are one of very few Chambers that still print an annual directory, community profile and resource guide. Even with the growing presence of online resources, nothing beats being able to pick up a beautiful, full-color magazine that showcases our Members, the community and all of the resources that West Orange County has to offer.
We will post a digital version of our Discover magazine on our website that can be accessed on any tablet, desktop or smartphone. In addition to mailing a copy to each of our nearly 1,100 Members, we also place dozens of copies at physicians’ waiting rooms, hospitals, municipal offices, libraries, schools, real estate offices and many more locations throughout our service area.
We would like to sincerely thank all of the Advertisers for this year's publication.  Alarie Design Associates, Inc., Allegra Print & Imaging, Apple Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc., Associates in Dermatology, Benjamin Franklin Plumbing LLC, City of Ocoee, Florida Hospital - Winter Garden, Foundation Academy, Hillcrest Insurance Agency, Inc., Infinity Realty Group, Lake Apopka Natural Gas District, Learning Rx - Orlando Windermere, Maguire Road Storage, Mimi's Boutique & Intimates, Orlando Health, Sawyer & Sawyer, P.A., State Farm Insurance - Jo Barsh Insurance Agency, LLC, Stoneybrook West Self Storage, Suzi Karr Realty, The Original Sign Factory, The Tutoring Center, The West Orange Times & Observer, West Oaks Mall and Westside Tech.

Bright House Networks
Regional Business Awards, Central Florida

On March 19, 2015, Bright House Networks held the inaugural Bright House Networks Regional Business Awards for Central Florida.  The Awards honor the companies, organizations and people who have impacted the Central Florida community with their products, services, and thought leadership.   The WOCC is proud to announce that  Main Street Mower received Third place in the Small Business category and Computer Business Consultants was named a finalist in the same category.  The WOCC is proud of both businesses for their outstanding accomplishments!  Pictured left to right: Debbie Clements, WOCC Chairman of the Board; Leslie Skillman, WOCC Director of Membership; Ashley Hawthorne, Stu Hawthorne and Drew Schmaltz all with Main Street Mower and Stina D'Uva, WOCC President.

“The Force of West Orange”, the 2014-2015 Leadership West Orange Class, sponsored by Florida Hospital learned about the environment during their 7th session.  The class took a field trip to the north shore of Lake Apopka and discovered how the restoration of Lake Apopka is not only good for the environment but can be beneficial to the economic growth of West Orange County.  The group then traveled to the Oakland Nature Preserve and participated in a nature hike guided by Jim Thomas.
