Many times I speak to groups or train individuals and the most common question I get is,"Gee Mike, I am making a lot of calls, have done a lot of presentations,but can't close any deals! Can you give me some surefire closing techniques?" The issue is not usually in the efforts spent. Remember to not confuse activity with results!

The most common mistake most sales people make is to fail to qualify the prospective customer well enough. They are in a complete rush to give the person all the endless information about the product or service and hope magically the customer will say "Yes." This rarely happens.You must learn to detect the difference between a suspect and prospect. Most fail in sales because they never learn this.
