Winter Garden Ranks #4 of Top 10 Cities in Florida for Young Families
What this Means for West Orange County Businesses

We have all heard over the years the stereotype describing Florida as a retirement destination.  Proudly, West Orange is leading the charge in changing that perception.  Winter Garden was recently ranked as the fourth best city in the entire state for young families to plant their roots, according to the latest report from consumer site NerdWallet. Referred to as an “ecotourism mecca,” Winter Garden offers a plethora of economic opportunity for young families, with the median household income increasing 69.88 percent since 1999 — the most in the state!

While the 65-and-older market has been a reliable money-maker for the Sunshine State, the younger generations flocking to start their adult lives in our local community mean more than just short-term revenue—it means long-term business and economic growth for West Orange County. As home values rise and the job market soars, this is where everyone wants to be! As Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs said, “Everywhere you turn, you see major investment in our community.”

As more and more families, homebuyers and young professionals relocate to our community, the West Orange Chamber will continue to work diligently to facilitate opportunities within our growing ecosystem of 1,000+ members and beyond.

Brought to You by ServiceMaster Restore: Thunderstorms seem to be less of a threat than hurricanes because they affect smaller areas, but don't let size fool you. Even though they are smaller in size, they can be extremely dangerous. Find shelter for at least 30 minutes after hearing thunder or seeing lightning as electricity is in the air.
