Everyone knows the old adage, “What you don’t know can’t hurt you!” and here at the Chamber, we prefer to make sure the opposite is true;  â€œwhat you do know can help you!”  That’s our job, our purpose for existing!  It is about making sure you not only know about all of the great opportunities offered by the Chamber but also how to make them work for you.  Luckily, we have something for everyone, even for those of you who may not be able to get away from the office to attend an event.

If you do enjoy events and the art of face-to-face networking, you can always stay up-to-date regarding our wide range of options by visiting the Chamber calendar.  We realize, however, not everyone can leave their office, job site or store front to join us at events.  That’s okay because your chamber can help facilitate opportunities for you from wherever you spend your day.   Let’s talk about some as these lesser known benefits of your membership.

Tops on the list is learning how to use our E-publications (News & Views and Focus on You) to benefit your business, and much of this is complimentary.  Are you a subject matter expert?  Have you considered writing an article about it so we can share it with other members in an upcoming e-pub?  This may help out a fellow member and generate a great lead for you!  Has your business or an employee won an award or special recognition recently?  If so, we would love to share that accolade in our “Members in the News” section.    We are also happy to share any upcoming events you are planning in our “Community Events” or the “Business Events” sections.

Beyond the e-pubs, we have plenty of opportunities on our website and honestly, the sky is the limit there.  Do you do business with Chamber members?  If so, every time you do business with a Chamber member, whether personally  or professionally, you can post it on the “Facilitating Opportunity” page.  That ends up promoting you and the other member.  Please reach out to our staff to discuss other creative opportunities on how to make our website work for you.

I hope I have given you some food for thought and that you will consider new ways to capitalize on your investment in the Chamber.  Keep an eye out for our Discover 2015 mailing and we will share even more!
