Orange County Elected Officials and Area Businesses Gather for Living the Vision Luncheon
 
Referred to as “a luncheon 12 years in the making,” Living the Vision reviewed and celebrated the achievement of goals set in February 2003 during “Visioning a Greater West Orange: 2015,” a community visioning initiative to develop a consensus about the future of West Orange County.  Marilyn Crotty, UCF Director of Florida Institute of Government, moderated the event by presenting the original Vision and highlighting the milestone successes that served as catapults toward truly Living the Vision in present day. The Central Florida Political Leadership Institute features an two-and-a-half-day political leadership school at the prestigious Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, ongoing leadership activities throughout the year and important networking opportunities. It features local and national speakers who share their invaluable expertise on campaigning for public office and leading once elected.

A limited number of emerging leaders from throughout the Central Florida business community are given the opportunity to participate in this ground-breaking program. Participants are selected based on the strength of their applications and personal interviews with a screening committee.

Participants represent a diverse range of business experience, backgrounds and community involvement. There is no requirement that applicants be declared candidates in order to be selected for the Central Florida Political Leadership Institute.
