As part of Monument magazine's most recent 'Create a Date' project, I was invited to collaborate with Shawn Godwin of Base Architecture to develop a wine rack concept. During the process I was able to utilise a recently acquired 3D printer to test the bracket component of the design. For more information on the process and images of the design see X Rack

I was recently commissioned to work on the fit-out of a small boutique bar on the Gold Coast. Named after the tale of a local shipwreck off the coast in the late 1800's, the overall design is inspired by nautical themes. Working in close collaboration with the team of owners, the project involved consultation for design detailing with particular reference to bespoke furniture items, including: Perch Bar Tables, Wall Mounted Seating, and free standing Dining Tables and Bench Seats. The bar focuses on providing a unique and contemporary selection of spirits, cocktails, brews and tapas meals, and was recently voted by the Sydney Morning Herald as one of the top twenty locations to visit on the Gold Coast. For more images see The Cambus Wallace.

I have just started up a studio blog to document the process of individual product development, prototyping and points of design inspiration. To keep up to date with recent additions take a look at A Sugar Fry. It is always good to hear some feedback along the way.

After an extensive research and development process, the Crease chair has been refined with access to more efficient manufacturing techniques. Locally produced from a recycled PET plastic material, the chair will be relaunched in a range of new colour ways and custom print options. The first prototypes off the machine are currently on display at the Artisan gallery as part of the Made Here Now exhibition. Head on down and take a look.
