August brings record heat to Seattle. This is not a hot place. An average of 5 days over 90 in a summer and we are on day 10 with more to come!
So all we can do is stay inside and stitch. And if you are lucky enough to have A/C (15% of the population), let me know and I will be right over!
Pioneer Woman was channeling me! I watched her show a couple weeks ago and she made my favorite summer drink. Here is my version: Peel and dice a big chunk of fresh ginger and boil 5 minutes in 3 C of water. Save it in a jar in the fridge. To stave off the heat, pour 1/4 C in a tall glass with ice and diet tonic water - no sugar.
