New life for previously barred childhood sexual abuse cases

We are writing to make our friends and colleagues aware of a very big change in the California statute of limitations for childhood sexual abuse cases. AB 218, which the Governor signed in October, creates a three-year window in which victims may bring claims for abuse, no matter when the abuse occurred and even if the statute of limitations on their claim had previously expired.
