Greetings <<First Name>>, welcome to this week's newsletter!

It’s a Leap Year!

That’s right, just when you think February is done, BAM! Another day gets added. So what? Well for me it means there is one more day between me and my birthday (I can feel the sympathy from here) but also it has revitalised a few old theories.

One goes that 29th February is such a rare day that it holds greater power than the other days. That it is like a spiritual portal or focus point, where everything feels different and the universe vibrates to a different beat. A time for achieving stuff, for love and for pushing your life forward, maybe even leaping forward. Interesting and I can see how that might be the case, after all it does only happen every four years.
So, maybe this is a gift for us. An extra day, a day of spiritual power, a day that we can use to better connect with God. Maybe it is more than just an adjustment to our calendar.

In a way it is quite heartening that, although everyone relies on their calendars, for appointments, bookings etc and uses their phones to track it all and remind them, safe in the knowledge that it is perfect, there is a reminder every four years that life isn’t like that. It isn’t exact, perfect, it is slightly flawed, imperfect, messy.
So, whatever our thoughts on 29th February, I encourage us all to use it as a reminder that nothing is perfect, least of all us, and so we shouldn’t stress about our faults or imperfections. We are as we were made to be, HUMAN.

Have a blessed week.

Andrew

The Truth Of The Matter

The last of our Epiphany sermons was written by SJ Ramage but, due to illness, given by Philip Davis. To listen to SJ's thoughts on God's truth, and our other sermons, click here for our Youtube channel.

Blessings and love,
Philip

Heavenly Creator, awaken our hearts, awake them to the truth that you are our refuge and our fortress. Fill our hearts with songs of deliverance, and our minds with a sense of trust and love.

In the many names of God we pray,
AMEN
