Greetings <<First Name>>, welcome to this week's newsletter!

?????????????

I have really struggled with what to say this week. After all things seem to be almost at a standstill, day in day out very little seems a be changing. I looked back at previous thoughts but i have done the "ooh it's hot" several times. I have done the Sun, sea, beach, holidays etc etc etc ad nauseum.

It has been so hot lately that my brain seems stuck on SCORCHIO! as a theme. Then this morning (wednesday) i dropped my son at nursery, realised the nearest Costa was open and all was right with the world.

So, coffee grabbed, snack purchased, i made my way to the nearby park and a shady bench. Sitting here i realised how important these little moments of stillness are to me. These unplanned moments of watching the world go by, sipping a coffee, sharing the occasional nod good morning. A moment to just be.

I thank God for the opportunity to stop thinking for a moment and just be with them, in the stillness. Watching the joggers, the cyclists, the dog walkers, all finding their own little moments of peace in this crazy world.

My hope for everyone right now is that they find their own mmoments of peace this week and in doing so, feel just how close God is to us. Closer than our own breath.

Have a truly blessed and peace filled week

Andrew

P.s. the picture this week is my view while writing this, enjoy.

1) John 17: 15- [Jesus said],
"I am not asking that you remove them from the world,
but I ask that you guard their hearts from evil."

Ask God to give you wisdom and and discernment
to be in the world, but not of it.

2)  Daniel 1-
In situations similar to Daniel's, Christians often go to one of two extremes. Some won't even attempt to co-operate with what they consider to be a pagan system. Others co-operate to the point of losing their distinctiveness.

Why are both extremes counterproductive to our desire to be faithful witnesses to Christ?
