Postcards - A Little Creative Care

If you are interested in writing postcards, THANK YOU! The demand is high. We've launched a NEW interactive map showing all the care communities that are requesting mail! Use the map to find people near or far to send cards to and brighten their day. Then, let us know where you're sending them so we can keep track of places that need more mail.

Consider inviting your company, school or group of friends to participate in a postcard writing challenge.

Upcoming Webinar Student Artist in Residence Presentations

Since September, seven University of Wisconsin Milwaukee students have been working as artists in communities across the Milwaukee area to create collaborative works of art for the entire academic year.

The Student Artist in Residence (SAIR) Program is designed to give student artists time and space to become part of a community and engage in art-making. Each year, the SAIRs put together a public group exhibition documenting their year’s worth of work. This year, like most things in lieu of COVID-19, is moving forward virtually.

Help us help you by completing this survey. Your input will help TimeSlips raise money to develop the resources that will support you and your community. During this time of physical distancing, we have added free resources to bring more creative engagement opportunities. Please take a few minutes to let us know if you have used these tools, shared them, what you would like to see more of and if there is anything else we may be able to provide.

Through the end of June 2020, we are offering our TimeSlips Creative Storytelling online training at a discount. We know how important it is to engage with older adults all the time, but especially now during the spread of COVID-19 when many find they are living in isolation.

If you are able, please consider donating to TimeSlips so that we may continue offering new free resources and our evidence based training at a reduced rate.
