"Taking Time and Making Room"
Join us for King's Chapel's Winter Retreat at Glastonbury Abbey, Presidents' Day Weekend
February 14-16, 2014
How do you create time and space for the most essential things in life?
Ciael Hills, a longstanding member of King’s Chapel and a trained Minister and Chaplain (M. Div. Andover-Newton Theological School), will lead us in this year’s program, called “Taking Time and Making Room,†exploring ways to access the spirit within and discover what is meaningful to each participant and also what needs attention. The program will offer relevant biblical passages, reflective exercises, conversational sharing, and writing in the comfort of each person’s own private room at the abbey. (Double rooms are also available).
Glastonbury Abbey offers simple services of prayer and chanting—which all may enjoy. Participants may also explore the abbey grounds, a labyrinth, and nearby World’s End beach. Rides and scholarships are available. The full cost for the program, including room and board for the weekend, is $130. Please join us!
For more information, or to register for the retreat, please call the Parish Administrator at King’s Chapel House at 617-227-2155 or Ciael Hills, Chair of the Adult Religious Education Committee at 781-647-0719. Brochures and Registration Forms will be available in January at Coffee Hour after church services and in the Parish House in the Reception Area. We hope you will take time and make room for this in your busy schedule. Happy New Year!
