"Our thoughts control our actions. It is so important to pay attention to your thoughts, as it is an easy slide to the land of hopelessness if we don’t check ourselves. When is the last time you have done an inventory of your daily thoughts?"
2.
"The self-fulfilling prophecy is a real thing and can have consequences for good or bad. We believe something, start behaving as if it were true, and pretty soon, it becomes true. What can you do today to have better intentionality with your thoughts?"
3.
"Each of us has a voice in our head. Is your voice generally kind or hurtful? To be the best version of yourself, what do you want it to be?"

"Whatever you do, you must never let the voice in your head control the brain in your heart.” - Steve Jobs

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” - Philippians 4:8 |

“Sometimes I don’t feel like I have value.” These words hit me hard, as I watched the interview with Elirose, a 27-year-old mother of three in Haiti. The person I was sitting with then said, “I’m not good enough. I’ll never be good enough.” I stopped and asked, “Who told you that?” The reply was, “Well, I did. No one has to tell me, I just know.” As I sit with these conversations, I ask myself, “When did we believe the lie?” With a little self-reflection, every one of us has moments in our lives when this voice runs through our heads. The issue isn’t thinking the thought, rather it is believing it. Are you believing this lie right now in your life? Each one of us must take hold of these thoughts and replace them with true, kind, and helpful statements. Many times, the very thing holding us back from becoming the best version of ourselves is the thoughts we allow to live rent-free in our heads. Why not evict the bum thought from your living space? If you are held captive by a negative thought, do yourself a favor today and write it down on a piece of paper. Get it out of your head and onto paper. Then, replace it with a true, kind, and healthy mantra. And if you are struggling with a true, kind, and healthy mantra, sit with a few trusted friends and ask them to help. I guarantee they will help you craft a sticky mantra to replace the old. Believe me, you are worth it, so don’t run by this one.
