If one needs to stay home and be isolated for a period of time (14 day), that can play a toll on our Mental Health, so let's help with some resources and self care that might help:
  • Phone: can you facetime? Even communicating through Yahoo Messenger will help us feel connected
  • Hobbies: are there some hobbies you enjoy doing, this will be the time to add more or to finish that project
  • Water: stay well hydrated
  • Tele-health/Doctor/Peer Support: Therapists/counselors/peers that can do facetime/video chat - can help us with those anxiety moments
  • Self-Care: listening to music, playing video games, playing a game of chess with the dog and winning!, even playing cards with someone over a video platform - what is in the Self Care Recovery tool kit?
  • Montana Warmline: 877-688-3377, we are normally open from 4pm - 10pm, however, we see the need to keep our lines open throughout the day, so until this "Coronavirus" has been contained, we will be offering our service from 8am - 4pm, then normal shifts from 4pm - 10pm

Heritage/Historical News

Historical Society Launches Historic Montana Website

Historicmt.org is a collection of photographs, maps, and nearly 1,800 colorful essays introducing the buildings, neighborhoods and cultural sites listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The content is reproduced from the thousands of National Register interpretive signs at properties across Montana.

The Historical Society’s outreach and interpretation team has enhanced a previous website, explorebig.org, to upload its entire treasure trove of National Register sign texts compiled over the past 30 years.

Most properties listed in Historic Montana also have at least one photograph and links to further reading and additional images. Users can also choose from 75 different curated tours, including historic districts such as Butte, Red Lodge and Virginia City, or themed tours such as early Montana, railroads, courthouse or labor temples.

The email below about the Small Business Loan opportunity was the most simple to navigate.

Please pass this along to anyone you think may want information about it.

Governor Bullock Announces Emergency Loans Now Available for Small Businesses in Montana

Governor Steve Bullock on Tuesday announced that small businesses across Montana impacted by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) are now eligible to apply for emergency loans through the Small Business Administration.

“We are monitoring the impacts of coronavirus in real time – both from a public health perspective and an economic health perspective,” Governor Bullock said. “Ensuring that small businesses in Montana have access to capital and resources that will allow them to weather temporary closures and bounce back from critical quarantine efforts is paramount to my administration.”

Businesses may now apply directly to the SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program here:
