Dance at Bougival by Renoir A 2-Session Exercise
You are welcome to use oil, acrylic or pastel for this study. I'll be using oil on heavy archival paper.
Surface: I will be using a 9 x 12 Stillman Birn Zeta Series Sketchbook and will prime the page with Zinsser Bullseye from Home Depot, tinted with medium light green acrylic as a tone. Other suggestions: canvas panel, canvas tablet with sheets, (I staple to a piece of foam core.) or a canvas. Since we are doing this in 2 sessions I would not work too large. 9x12, 11x14 or 12x16
Vine Charcoal for drawing.
PAINT COLORS: Titanium White, Cad Red Medium, Cad Yellow Light, Ultramarine Blue
Brushes: A variety of filberts & flats depending on the size canvas you are using.
