Grow Your Tenner for Share with Localgiving

Localgiving's Grow Your Tenner campaign launches today! So if you Donate £10 to Share through Localgiving now, your donation will be doubled, making double the difference for Share.

Share is, once again, taking part in Grow Your Tenner, an annual match funding campaign run by Localgiving.

Throughout the campaign, Localgiving will be matching one-time donations pound-for-pound for up to £10, and monthly donations of up to £10 per month for three months.

This means that, with Gift Aid, a one-time donation of £10 made through Localgiving.com during the Grow Your Tenner campaign will generate up to £21.67, depending on the payment method used. Meanwhile, a direct debit monthly donation of £10 per month for three months with Localgiving, will turn your £30 into £60 for Share.

To donate to Share or find out more about Grow Your Tenner visit: localgiving.com/ShareCommunity

Please donate to Share now and start growing those tenners to help us continue our work!

Funds will be matched by Localgiving until 5pm on 18th November 2015, or when the Localgiving pot runs out, whichever is first. Remember, only donations made in this time will be eligible for match funding!

An invitation to Share's Winter Celebration 2015

Wednesday 9th December 2015, 5.30pm to 8pm
At Share, 64 Altenburg Gardens, London SW11 1JL
with drinks and canapés

The days are drawing in as summer gives way to autumn, which inevitably means that everyone's thoughts are turning to year-end celebrations.

We’d therefore be delighted if you could join us on 9th December 2015 to raise a glass of something indulgent and perhaps down a mince pie or two as we reflect on Share's year of 2015.

Our Winter Celebration is your chance to meet the Share team, and our trustees, supporters and sponsors who all help Share in its work, as well as our students who you help and their carers. For us, it is a chance to say thank you to everyone for their continued support throughout the year.

We very much hope you will be able to join us – you can register for the event online, or contact Kavita Bowry via email kavitab@sharecommunity.org.uk, or telephone 020 7801 9821 to reserve your place.

Share's new bag, designed by Share student Rehan

The new Share bag was delivered earlier this month. This year's cupcake design was created by one of Share's students, Rehan, seen here with the finished product. Rehan completed the design as part of his digital skills course at Share.

A talented artist, Rehan uses all types of media for his artwork, from pencils to watercolours and oils, to electronic media. Read Rehan's full story.

SDS logoThe Share bag would not have been possible without the kind support of our corporate sponsors, SDS London, who have, once again, sponsored the bag. So huge thanks to everyone at SDS London for their continued support.

Still time to support Share at Asda Clapham Junction Battersea

Asda Community LifeIf you are shopping at the Asda Clapham Junction store in Battersea in October, please ask the cashier for a Community Life token and vote for Share!

Asda's Community Life ‘Chosen by you, given by us’ voting scheme supports local good causes, and if Share wins, we will receive a donation of £200 from the Asda Foundation.

So please don't forget to place your little green tokens in the Share box after you've completed your shopping at Asda Clapham Junction Battersea, and help us win!

Student focus: Edmund

EdmundEdmund studies life skills at Share, and is relatively new to Share, having just recently celebrated one year with us.

In the short time he has been with us, we have seen him grow in confidence from being very shy and a bit hesitant to join in, to making new friends with ease and wanting to try lots of new activities, and gradually becoming more assertive.

He has been particularly keen to take part in Share's Go Anywhere, Do Anything programme. His family was a little concerned that he might find the trips out to central London a bit daunting, but he has impressed everyone by his will to do more and go further and further afield, now having been on six of our trips.
