Helping small and medium OA book publishers paint a more holistic picture of the global uptake of their OA books
We are excited to share that we have been successful in securing funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation* for a new project together with colleagues from Curtin University (Australia) and Educopia (U.S.) to further address the analytical needs of small and medium OA book publishers.
Currently OAPEN provides its publishers with usage reporting and insights into the global uptake of their OA books for the OAPEN Library. This Book Analytics Dashboard project will further build upon existing efforts by individual platforms such as the OAPEN Library. Led by Curtin University, OAPEN and Educopia, this project seeks to enhance the diversity of voices from small and medium sized book publishers across the globe. Further news and developments for this project will be shared by OAPEN throughout the year.
*Established in 1969, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation is the largest supporter of the arts and humanities in the United States of America. It supports exemplary and inspiring institutions of higher education and culture to build just communities where ideas and imagination can thrive.
