To All Our Wonderful Supporters,

Thank you for stepping in at a time of need.  We just would like to update you about Heng's hand and condition.

Thankfully we were able to collect enough money to pay for the surgery and Heng is recovering.  Our hope now is that he will be able to understand how many people around the world are praying for him and who were willing to support him in a time of serious need.

Please continue to pray for his healing and that he will be able to eventually regain full use of his hand.

I ask then that you would please continue to pray for me and my family at this time.  While I am uplifted by the outpouring of prayers for us it is still difficult to be so far from my family.  I am still trying to get my plane tickets changed so I can return home early, hopefully on the 16th or 17th of this month but have not heard anything yet from the airline.  This trip has been a struggle for me personally as I had to cancel my appointments in Houston and now deal with struggles back in Cambodia from so far away.  Sometimes ministry work doesn't go how we plan or would like it to and even to someone who has been in the mission field as long as I have it still can feel discouraging.  I continue to take solace in Romans 8:28, knowing that God is working.  Even though I cannot yet see the purpose He is working towards, I have faith in Our Heavenly Father that a purpose is indeed there.

As per our car, unfortunately the mechanic refused to take responsibility for his error and the legal system in Cambodia is such that it would be more trouble than it is worth to take it to court.  Sinuon has since sold the CRV as we no longer feel it is safe and is in the process of purchasing a newer, smaller vehicle so that she can get around town and take our children to school.  When I return to Cambodia I will look for a chance to sell my old Jeep as I continue to seek funds to purchase another truck for use with the farm and other ministry needs.  Please pray that God will provide the finances necessary for these purchases.

Finally, I ask that you please pray for the children in Crossing Cambodia's program.  While I've been seemingly overwhelmed by other issues, I must continue to remember that Crossing Cambodia's mission is to share the Love and Hope of Christ with the street children.  Right now it is monsoon season in Cambodia and many of the roads and areas around town are flooded.  This means that the railroad station is flooded and the riverbanks are not going to be accessible to many of the street families.  It is cold and illness tends to spread quickly at this time of year.  Please pray for the safety of the children and for the staff of Crossing Cambodia as they continue to go out day after day to reach these children and care for their needs.

Thank you to all of you for your ongoing support of our ministry and for uplifting us through prayer in difficult times.

God's blessings to all of you.

Sincerely in Christ,
Gregory Holz

  • For Heng.  That God will continue to grant him peace and that he may know how many Christians around the world are praying for him.
  • Thanksgiving for the support received to help cover Heng's medical bills!
  • For the staff at Crossing Cambodia.  That God continues to enable them to serve Him and the street children confidently, no matter what may happen.
  • For the street children.  That at this time of year they will have shelter and be safe from the environment.
  • For Sinuon, Richard, Julianne, and Elena.  That they may be comforted even though Greg is so far away.
  • For Greg, that he finds peace while he is so far from home at this time.
