Check out what the Holz family is up to in Cambodia this month!
Updates from the Holz Family

What's New in the Holz Family?

So we have big news for everyone!  In late April/early May we are expecting a new arrival!  This was in no way shape or form planned, but we're excited all the same!  Richard and Julianne are getting ready for a new brother or sister and spend an awful lot of time talking to Sinuon's tummy and I'm still feeling quite proud of myself for my small role in the whole process.

We ask that you would please pray for our family as we are going to be needing some extra help starting next year.  In March of 2015 Sinuon's mother passed away and since then we've been mostly on our own  as a family out here.  The closer we get to the due date the more likely it is we're going to need help watching children, cleaning the house, and other general things around the home.

If anyone is interested in volunteering as a nanny for a couple months we'd much appreciate it.  We can provide room & board for a few months while here.  Otherwise we will be looking for a local person with whom we can come to an arrangement.  So prayers for a person and the means to support them are much appreciated!

Professor Greg

I was planning to make a trip to the US in October, but then an opportunity arose.  I accepted a part-time position as a course instructor for a local university.  I am currently teaching Character Development to a class of about 20 young adults at Pannasastra University.  It is a unique opportunity to further develop my own ties to the local community while also teaching a course that I hope will have a real impact on the way these young people approach their lives and jobs.  Through this teaching opportunity I hope to also find ways to talk about my faith, how it affects my own character, and hopefully how it could affect their's as well.

While at present it is only a few hours a week, it could possibly develop into more during the next term which also means that it could become a source of local income for us, helping to stabilize things and furthering our goal of being here in Cambodia long-term.

A Second Newsletter?

So recently we decided to split our personal updates from our ministry updates.  This is because our ministry is going through a lot of changes and there is more to tell than one newsletter can handle!  Crossing Cambodia has new volunteers and new projects in the works and there is a lot of information that goes out with every newsletter.  Recently we've been trying to separate ourselves financially from Crossing Cambodia's General Fund and would like to focus on our family updates.

We're going to be updating all our mailing lists and creating special "groups" so that if you only want certain updates you can opt out of either the ministry or personal updates.  Please bear with us while we make all these updates to our email system!
Our due date is May the Fourth.  For a father and children who love Star Wars, that's pretty awesome!
Could this be what Professor Greg will look like some day?
